About Krista LeMay

I’m a University of Puget Sound graduate with my degree in Theatre. In high school I wrote for a couple of local newspapers, and in college I wrote for The Trail, Puget Sound’s college newspaper in their entertainment and satire sections. I’m a Los Angeles actor who primarily does musical theatre, performing roles like Lina Lamont in Singin’ in the Rain, Johanna in Sweeney Todd, and Ulla in The Producers at regional theaters up and down the West Coast. I also work as a makeup artist, with experience working with a couple of different brands as well as freelancing. Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I am happy to be living in a place where the sun and In-N-Out are happy to live as well. I’m a big fan of stand-up comedy (John Mulaney, Kathleen Madigan, and Amy Schumer are my favorites), online streaming marathons (Big Love, The Good Wife, and Grey’s Anatomy are my current faves), politics, and theatre. I can’t stand cooking, running, being too cold, or being too hot. I absolutely adore weddings and wedding culture. I became interested in planning and writing about it through my makeup artistry work, as I’ve had the privilege of helping many brides look stunning for their day. It really is such a joy to get to be a part of that excitement (and hopefully to even contribute to it!) so I look joyously forward to being a part of that experience from a planning perspective. I am also so grateful to Best Bride to get to call Say Yes to the Dress reruns and pinning flower arrangements to my already-exploding Pinterest board “work.”
